We came here for dinner and had a fantastic meal! Everyone in our family found something they loved. We enjoyed the crispy shrimp, BBQ chicken, macaroni salad, pickled cabbage, and crispy wonton chips, while the kids ordered the ribs and absolutely loved them; they were tender, flavorful, and disappeared quickly! The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and there was a great balance of flavors. We finished with upside down pineapple cake, which was the perfect sweet ending to an already excellent meal. The staff was friendly, the service was prompt, and the atmosphere made for a relaxing family dinner. We’ll definitely be back and would happily recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious meal!

Exceptional customer service and delicious food. We arrived about 30 minutes early for our reservation and were seated right away. My son had a migraine and asked for a cup of coffee and our sever was empathetic and accommodating, promptly getting him a cold brew, cream and an additional cup from the bar. We were thrilled to see POG juice on the menu since we haven't been able to find it in any stores since our visit to Hawaii. Everything from the appetizers to the main dishes and sides were well prepared and delicious. The bowels have hearty portion sizes and the cole slaw was the best I've had. I was just bummed we didn't save room for dessert because it all looked amazing. We don't live in Asheville, but will definitely be back and make reservations and Hulie Sue's again for their authentic Hawaiian cuisine and next time we will save room for dessert!

My best friend & I had such a wonderful experience here today! The atmosphere is vibrant, colorful, and so welcoming — it truly feels like Big Island vibes the moment you walk in. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about their guests. The owners are absolutely amazing and make each experience feel so inviting and special. Delicious food, beautiful energy, and such lovely people all around. Our favorite place to eat in all of WNC! Our favorite dishes are the tasty poke nachos & the poke bowl. The ribs were the best ribs we’ve ever had!!!

Started somewhat skeptical of an authentic Hawaiian joint in Asheville. We were wrong. It's great. The owners are from Hawaii and have a restaurant on the big island. The Brisket Mac and Cheese was creamy and rich with a pile of brisket on it. The Brisket salad equally piled in Brisket. The Brisket nachos were scrumptious, and very large. Yet, the star on our table was the fish tacos. And, you must wrap it up with a Banana Cream pie

Wow! This place was amazing! The manager took great care of us, from seating us outside to making great suggestions on drinks and food. We never felt rushed and always felt looked after. The Crispy Ribs Appetizer and Banana Cream Pie may have been the best but that's unfair to the awesome burgers, Loco Mocos, Sue's Chicken Bowl and Pork Nachos enjoyed by our party! We will be back!!
